The D&C covered this, and you can read the article here: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20091111/NEWS01/911110357/1003/New-N.Y.-plates-evoke-nostalgia---25-fee

~~~~~
Also, FYI regarding the flagpole at Engine 5:
Mike Visconte called the mayor, and Mayor Duffy said that the pole would be fixed immediately.
Therefore, we won't need to write any letters.
If this situation changes, I will compose a letter, and post it here for anyone to copy and paste.
Thanks, Mike!
Invitation to participate in a survey for Rochester Area Community Foundation
The following was sent to LONA by the RACF. If you would like to fill out their survey, it would be appreciated! ~ Pam
I am writing to ask members of the “Baby Boom” generation (those born during the years 1946-1964) to complete a 10-minute, online survey for Rochester Area Community Foundation.
If you are not a boomer, you can help us by forwarding this email to your contacts.
The Community Foundation is developing a major initiative to recruit baby boomers to become mentors for Rochester’s youth. The purpose of the survey is to explore boomers’ understanding of mentoring, the barriers to becoming a mentor, and ideas for overcoming those barriers.
Your responses will be anonymous and added to those of the many hundreds we hope will take the survey. That said; we would appreciate your forwarding this email to as many people as you can.
Here is the link to the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=pZtE2ttJt0zlpRniI8mMUw_3d_3d
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Leonard
